Launch Operations Specialist
Owns high-volume customer data migrations and setup operations for payroll, benefits, and demographic implementations. The role requires strong spreadsheet and data-validation skills, process-building experience, proactive client communication, and comfort using AI and automation.

Responsibilities
- Own setup data migrations for multiple customer implementations simultaneously, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with Launch Managers to deliver timely, error-free go-lives.
- Transform payroll, benefits, and demographic data from spreadsheets and PDFs into required formats.
- Access clients’ cloud-based prior providers to extract setup data and import it into Miter.
- Partner with clients to determine how to extract data from on-premises providers.
- Identify missing or incorrect data and proactively communicate corrections.
- Help design and build scalable processes, automations, and tooling, including AI-powered workflows.
- Support the broader Launch team as needed.
Requirements
- 2+ years in a data-heavy operations, implementation, or migration role.
- Hands-on experience extracting, transforming, and validating data across systems.
- Ability to manage a high volume of concurrent projects and customer-driven deadlines.
- Experience building or improving processes and tooling.
- Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills, including formulas, lookups, data cleaning, and automation.
- Experience using AI tools to automate and accelerate work.
- Ability to quickly learn unfamiliar software and payroll or HR platforms.
- Builder mindset with strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong relationship-building and proactive communication skills.
- Comfort operating through ambiguity while keeping projects on track.
Nice to Have
- Payroll or tax knowledge.
- Familiarity with ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks, or Sage/Foundation.
- SQL, scripting, or automation experience beyond spreadsheets.
