Head of Internal Communications
Leads Vanta’s internal communications strategy, infrastructure, and company-wide messaging while advising executives and partnering with People, Marketing, and External Communications. The role requires 8–10+ years of experience, exceptional writing and judgment, and hands-on ownership of communications programs.

Responsibilities
- Shape how Vanta tells its own story internally and ensure key messages land at the right moment.
- Build and manage internal communications infrastructure, including channels, cadences, Slack norms, documentation, and wikis.
- Own company-wide moments end to end, including all-hands meetings, major announcements, and organization-wide notifications.
- Partner with the People team on sensitive or high-stakes communications.
- Serve as a strategic communications partner across the business, prioritizing company-wide communication requests and translating complex topics into clear messaging.
- Partner with Marketing and External Communications to align internal and external narratives.
- Advise the C-team and Leadership Team on communicating major business updates.
- Build and protect company culture and morale through communications.
- Evolve the internal communications strategy and toolkit as the company scales.
- Experiment with new formats and channels.
- Measure results and iterate using a data-informed approach.
Requirements
- 8–10+ years of experience building and running an internal communications strategy, ideally at a high-growth company.
- Proven ability to build and execute an internal communications strategy.
- Strong writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex or sensitive topics into clear, human messaging.
- Ability to set strategy while also executing hands-on work, such as writing emails, running all-hands meetings, and editing presentations.
- Experience influencing and partnering with executive and leadership teams.
- Experience partnering with People or HR teams on sensitive organizational communications.
- Excellent judgment and prioritization skills.
- Strong cultural awareness and the ability to bring personality and energy to communications.
- Creativity, willingness to experiment, and sound judgment about when to push or adjust an idea.
- Curiosity and sound judgment when using AI responsibly to improve efficiency and impact.
