Core Account Executive - Public Sector
The Core Account Executive will drive enterprise public-sector sales across New South Wales, helping government agencies adopt Databricks’ data and AI platform. The role requires proven enterprise or public-sector sales experience, strategic execution, and the ability to build senior stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities
- Drive customer consumption by identifying key use cases and increasing platform usage.
- Lead initiatives that create measurable public-sector impact across health, education, sustainability, and economic development.
- Identify, structure, and close strategic opportunities aligned with Australia’s digital priorities.
- Build trusted relationships with senior decision-makers and communicate compelling customer-impact stories.
- Manage the end-to-end sales cycle, from prospecting and initial engagement through closing and platform adoption.
- Collaborate with solution architects, customer success, and global teams to deliver customer solutions and long-term success.
- Close net-new accounts while maintaining existing accounts.
Requirements
- Passion for using technology for public good.
- Proven enterprise or public-sector sales experience, ideally in cloud, data, or SaaS.
- Strategic, structured approach with strong execution and accountability.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with senior stakeholders.
- Growth mindset, creativity, and adaptability in dynamic environments.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of Apache Spark and big data.
