Forward Deployed Engineer
Acts as primary technical interface for customers, designing solutions, running POCs, diagnosing issues, and building relationships to deploy Extend's AI document processing platform. Focuses on solving complex LLM edge cases and inspiring enterprise adoption.

Responsibilities
- Design and architect solutions to solve complex customer problems using Extend as the primary tool.
- Write the playbook for how we should work with customers, and how we should incorporate feedback and learnings across the team.
- Build genuine relationships with end users, figure out problems other teams are experiencing, and grow Extend within organizations (travel onsite as needed).
- Act as the primary technical interface for customers evaluating and running POCs with Extend.
- Inspire confidence with technical champions by answering deep technical questions (API architecture, security, parsing mechanisms, on-prem deployments) and addressing requirements.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly when customers encounter problems with schemas, prompts, and processor configurations.
- Give compelling product demos that translate complex technical concepts into easy-to-understand value propositions.
- Run and manage POCs from planning through execution, ensuring prospects hit their success criteria.
