AI Solutions Strategist

The AI Solutions Strategist partners with enterprise finance customers to identify automation opportunities, translate workflows into solution requirements, and guide AI-powered implementations. The role requires 4+ years of relevant experience, strong corporate finance and controllership knowledge, and comfort with integrations, change management, and executive communication.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct stakeholder interviews and workflow deep dives with Finance, Procurement, Accounts Payable, and IT teams.
  • Map end-to-end processes and identify pain points involving risk, cost, cycle time, compliance, and exceptions.
  • Identify high-impact opportunities for AI and automation, including intelligent intake, classification, routing, matching, and exception handling.
  • Translate customer input into problem statements, success metrics, constraints, acceptance criteria, and solution requirements.
  • Define deployment plans from MVP through iteration and rollout, balancing speed, safety, and scalability.
  • Partner with customers on change management, operating-model updates, and adoption plans.
  • Work with engineers and AI builders to design and ship AI-powered workflows.
  • Specify data inputs, integrations, governance requirements, system-of-record needs, policy rules, and auditability requirements.
  • Support evaluation of models and prompts against customer-specific edge cases and risk tolerance.
  • Synthesize customer learnings into reusable patterns and product opportunities.
  • Write briefs for Product and Engineering teams and advocate for scalable solutions.
  • Present status, outcomes, and recommendations to operators and executives.
  • Quantify impact, including time saved, error reduction, compliance improvements, and faster close.
  • Create narratives, demos, and artifacts that make AI workflows understandable and trustworthy.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in solutions, implementation, product strategy, consulting, or technical program management.
  • Strong customer empathy and ability to build trust with senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem framing, communication, and written documentation skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity and iterate quickly while maintaining quality.
  • Builder mindset with an interest in shipping, learning, and improving systems.
  • Strong grounding in corporate finance and controllership workflows, including accounting close, spend governance and controls, budgeting, procurement, and Accounts Payable operations.
  • Experience translating finance requirements into system design and configuration for ERP/accounting, procurement, expense management, or payments systems, including integrations, data mapping, and controls.
  • Ability to partner with finance system owners and administrators on change management, testing/UAT, and rollouts.
  • Familiarity with AP, procurement, expense, card, and accounting-close workflows.
  • Exposure to AI-enabled products, automation, or applied machine learning.
  • Basic familiarity with APIs, ETL, SQL, spreadsheets, data quality, and systems integration.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Annual salary: $176,000–$240,000.
