Responsibilities
- Manage Google Ads and emerging bidding-platform channels, including campaign structure, keywords, bids, budgets, negative keywords, quality score, geographic splits, and device splits.
- Own cost per acquisition and optimize the funnel from impression to registration to subscription.
- Run a continuous testing roadmap covering bidding strategies, optimization events, ad copy, landing pages, audiences, and geographic splits.
- Design and evaluate incrementality tests, including geo holdouts, conversion-lift studies, and pause tests.
- Allocate budgets across US and international markets based on performance.
- Launch new bidding platforms and develop operating playbooks.
- Produce daily and weekly performance readouts focused on causal drivers.
- Collaborate with analytics, creative, lifecycle, product marketing, and engineering teams on tracking, attribution, and landing-page conversion.
Requirements
- 4+ years of paid search management experience.
- Direct ownership of seven-figure advertising budgets.
- Deep Google Ads expertise, including Smart Bidding, tCPA/tROAS, Performance Max, AI Max, Demand Gen, search-term hygiene, quality score, and Google Ads Editor.
- Experience running incrementality tests and applying their results.
- Fluency in funnel economics, including CAC, LTV, cost per acquisition, and payback.
- Comfort working with data; SQL experience or willingness to learn it.
- Experience with GA4, Mixpanel, or an equivalent analytics platform.
- Strong experimentation discipline and clear written reporting.
Nice-to-haves
- Subscription, freemium, or consumer SaaS experience.
- International or multi-market paid search experience.
- Experience with MCP or AI tooling for optimization and reporting automation.
- Experience with AI-native ad surfaces or non-Google bidding platforms.
- Familiarity with attribution infrastructure, including click IDs, enhanced conversions, and server-side tracking.
Compensation
- Annual salary range: $150,000–$200,000 for candidates in the U.S.
- Compensation depends on experience, skill level, qualifications, and internal equity.
