Senior Director of Event Travel, Navan Events

Leads global event-travel operations across online and offline air services, unifying teams, processes, and technology while owning service quality, commercial performance, and workforce planning. Responsibilities

  • Lead a global organization of directors, managers, team leads, travel consultants, and coordinators.
  • Build a high-performance culture that develops talent and advances high performers.
  • Unify Reed & Mackay and Navan teams under a common operating model.
  • Own service quality, commercial performance, workforce planning, operational transformation, and Product and Engineering partnerships.
  • Define and implement the target operating model for Event Travel across people, processes, and systems.
  • Structure a globally consistent service delivery function while empowering local decision-making.
  • Expand adoption and capabilities of Navan’s event-travel platform.
  • Partner with Flights/Air Product and Engineering teams to build booking tools and offline workflows on Navan infrastructure.
  • Measure performance and continuously improve client delivery, automation, service, and profitability.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience managing distributed travel operations teams across spans and layers.
  • Experience with operating budgets, gross margin or contribution margin, forecasting, pricing, capacity forecasting, cost-to-serve, and productivity.
  • Track record of building Product and Operations partnerships that produced measurable improvements in automation, service, and profitability.
  • Data-driven approach and discipline around operating performance.
  • Thorough knowledge of the travel industry, fares, suppliers, and markets.
  • Familiarity with air booking tools and fulfillment systems.
  • Skilled at leading through organizational and technology change.

Compensation

  • Pay range: $110,000–$160,000 USD.
  • Starting pay depends on location, skills and experience, market demands, and internal parity.
  • For roles with on-target earnings, the range may include base salary and target incentive compensation.
