Director, Growth Engineering
Leads growth engineering across mobile and web platforms, shaping strategy, architecture, experimentation, and personalization systems that improve acquisition, activation, conversion, ARR, and lifetime value. The role manages engineering leaders and partners closely with Product, Marketing, Data Engineering, and BI.

Responsibilities
Strategic Engineering Leadership
- Define and articulate a multi-year Growth Engineering strategy aligned with corporate goals such as new-market entry and feature expansion.
- Develop long-term engineering strategies in partnership with Product.
- Collaborate with Marketing on the marketing technology stack strategy.
- Champion A/B testing infrastructure and rapid experimentation to optimize the conversion funnel.
Technical Oversight and Architecture
- Oversee highly available, secure growth foundation systems.
- Establish scalable, maintainable systems and technical standards.
- Drive personalization engineering, including user-personalization systems.
- Connect Growth data with Data Engineering and BI to improve warehousing and metric reporting.
- Own the SDLC and operational-excellence foundations.
Team Management and Development
- Lead Engineering Managers and Software Engineers across backend, mobile, and web platforms.
- Mentor technical leaders and oversee hiring, performance reviews, and career progression.
- Educate teams on growth strategies and future-proof technical solutions.
- Refine the Growth-domain career ladder in alignment with engineering leveling.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with User Acquisition and Marketing Automation teams to align engineering deliverables with campaign goals.
- Coordinate with Data Engineering and Business Intelligence on growth-funnel event measurement and reporting.
- Partner with Product and Engineering leads to integrate horizontal Growth initiatives with the product roadmap.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of technical leadership experience across growth teams in mobile and web environments.
- Strong experience developing technical solutions across marketing, product, and engineering teams.
- Track record establishing SDLC practices including testing, code review, incident response, and observability.
- Experience managing subscription lifecycles and payment integrations.
- Ability to identify and own areas of improvement and act as a team multiplier.
- Deep understanding of experimentation methodologies, A/B testing, and instrumentation.
- Curiosity about emerging technologies, including AI.
- Permanent US work authorization.
- Ability to travel quarterly for multiple days to a corporate office or strategic location.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with user-attribution and marketing-automation technologies.
- Experience with analytics technology for website and app traffic, user behavior, and visitor data.
- Experience with reporting tools such as Tableau and Looker.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $200,000-$249,000 upon hire.
- Full-time employees are eligible for common share options and an annual bonus of 10% based on company performance.
