Director, Technical Integrations - Rentals

Own and improve technical integrations between Bilt and property partners, translating operational needs into requirements, configurations, testing, and scalable workflows. The role requires integration troubleshooting, cross-functional issue resolution, and clear communication of technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.

About the job

Responsibilities

  • Own technical integrations between Bilt’s platform and property partners.
  • Configure and troubleshoot integrations; explain data exchange between partner systems and Bilt.
  • Translate operational needs into documented requirements, platform configurations, and test plans.
  • Serve as a frontline escalation contact during peak rent-cycle periods, triaging and resolving production issues.
  • Identify root causes using data patterns and volume, coordinating with engineering, support, and property-management stakeholders.
  • Partner with product managers to prioritize fixes and drive resolution of aging issues.
  • Use AI-assisted tools to build playbooks, automate recurring workflows, and prioritize and mitigate production issues.
  • Create technical setup guides, operational documentation, and feature-release materials.
  • Monitor ticket and integration-failure volume, distinguish recurring noise from defects, and document actionable tickets.
  • Test and validate platform fixes and enhancements across client-facing and backend environments.
  • Monitor post-deployment performance of partner-specific screens, reports, and dashboards.

Requirements

  • Experience supporting or managing complex system integrations in a fast-paced environment, ideally in real estate, proptech, or SaaS.
  • Proficiency with PostgreSQL and API testing tools such as Postman.
  • Ability to validate data independently and diagnose integration issues.
  • Ability to explain APIs, backend configurations, and multi-system workflows to nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to drive issues from identification through full resolution.
  • Hands-on experience building or improving validations and operational workflows.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and creating new procedures and playbooks.
  • Experience collaborating across support, product, and engineering.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted tools such as Claude and Devin.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with property-management systems or real-estate partner operations.
  • Background in system implementations, QA, UAT, or end-to-end validation.
  • Experience with bespoke platforms and customized screens, reports, and dashboards.
  • SQL or light scripting experience beyond basic queries.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary range: $150,000–$165,000, plus equity and an annual performance-based bonus.
  • Health insurance, One Medical membership, wellness stipends, and family programs from day one.
  • 401(k) plan with employer match.
  • Commuter FSAs.
  • Unlimited paid time off.
  • Employee-only Bilt Points opportunities.
  • Team events.
