IT Systems Engineer
The IT Systems Engineer leads corporate IT integrations for acquisitions, consolidates SaaS and identity platforms, and automates operational workflows. The role requires 5+ years managing IT systems and expertise with Okta, APIs, scripting, Terraform, and identity protocols.

Responsibilities
- Manage SaaS integration and consolidation during merger and acquisition activity, ensuring smooth platform migrations, data integrity, and minimal disruption across merged organizations.
- Provide architectural, engineering, and operational support for corporate IT systems.
- Support single sign-on integrations with the primary identity provider, Okta.
- Leverage APIs to write scripts and applications that automate IT operations.
- Build automation for repetitive tasks in partnership with IT, Security, and other internal departments.
- Write detailed, concise documentation and runbooks.
- Engage with vendors to implement and improve services.
- Mentor others in IT and serve as a source of expertise.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience managing corporate IT systems.
- Experience supporting IT integration during mergers, acquisitions, or divestitures, including SaaS platform consolidation and system migrations.
- Experience managing SaaS applications including Google Workspace, Okta, Atlassian, and Slack.
- Scripting experience with GAM, Python, Bash, or equivalent tools.
- Experience consuming REST APIs.
- Experience administering Okta with Terraform.
- Experience with GitOps.
- Familiarity with OpenID Connect, SAML, and OAuth.
- Experience building integrations across systems using APIs and low-code/no-code platforms such as Okta Workflows and Workato.
- Experience writing and documenting detailed project proposals.
- Experience working with vendors to resolve issues, develop project roadmaps, and implement improvements.
- Ability to adapt and solve problems in a fast-moving environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
Nice to Have
- Experience with monitoring tools, particularly Panther.
- Experience with AWS or Google Cloud.
- Experience with Workday or other ERP systems.
- Experience with MDM platforms, Jamf, NinjaOne, or Omnissa.

- Expected base pay range in the Toronto area: CAD $122,000–$152,500, excluding potential equity, bonus, and benefits.
