Responsibilities
- Lead the Core Services team, owning auth, webhooks, and backend systems powering agent workflows.
- Set technical direction for authentication, SCM integrations, webhook infrastructure, and end-to-end agent reliability.
- Build and operate reliable, well-abstracted systems that product teams depend on.
- Write and review code; partner with product and infrastructure teams.
- Example projects: scalable auth architecture, agent backend infrastructure, robust webhook server, resilient SCM integrations, end-to-end agent reliability, hiring and growing the team.
Requirements
- Led engineering teams building/operating critical backend services (auth, API gateways, webhook infrastructure).
- Experience with distributed systems; strong focus on reliability and performance of multi-step systems.
- Care about clean abstractions, well-defined service contracts.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals; own full lifecycle of production services.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with authentication/authorization (OAuth, JWTs, RBAC), event-driven architectures, developer-facing platform services.
