Manager, Account Executive

Leads and develops a team of Account Executives responsible for acquiring mid-market customers, overseeing coaching, hiring, quota performance, pipeline strategy, forecasting, and process improvement. Requires 5+ years of quota-carrying sales experience and 3+ years leading high-performing sales teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, develop, and execute career development and leadership plans for a team of Account Executives.
  • Provide daily 1:1 mentoring, coaching, and feedback.
  • Maintain a high-performing culture and manage morale, quota performance, and key performance metrics.
  • Hire and train Account Executives on Ramp’s product, buyer personas, competition, and sales tools.
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing on pipeline and prospecting initiatives.
  • Build dashboards, report on customer and team performance, and forecast for senior leadership.
  • Improve team output and efficiency by optimizing systems and processes.
  • Build and execute pipeline with new clients and partners through the full sales process.
  • Establish playbook resources for the Account Executive team.
  • Partner with Operations to develop and improve individual and team performance metrics.
  • Represent the Account Executive team cross-functionally.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of quota-carrying sales experience as an individual contributor.
  • At least 3 years of experience building and leading successful, high-performing sales teams.
  • Demonstrated success in fast-paced, results-oriented go-to-market environments, preferably SaaS.
  • Consistent history of exceeding quota in an outbound sales environment.
  • Experience hiring and developing sales teams.
  • Experience building top-of-funnel activities and generating pipeline.
  • Strong collaboration, influencing, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to explain contractual, technical, and financial value to customers, including executive leaders.
  • Proficiency with data analytics and sales tools, including Salesforce, Looker, and Excel.
  • Ability to use data to make decisions, create systems, and identify process improvements.

Nice-to-haves

  • Financial services sales experience in a full-cycle sales role.
  • Financial services or fintech experience at a high-growth startup.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Annual compensation range: $360,000–$400,000.
  • Flexible paid time off.
