Responsibilities
- Own and continuously improve fraud monitoring, KYC/KYB, AML/BSA, and OFAC/sanctions compliance programs, including policies, procedures, risk assessments, and governance materials.
- Serve as the primary compliance contact for banking, fintech, and financial institution partners; oversee meetings, reporting cycles, obligations, open items, and escalations.
- Lead KYC/KYB processes, oversee transaction monitoring, review escalated alerts and investigations, and prepare UARs and other required reports.
- Partner with Legal, Product, and Engineering to translate regulatory requirements into workflows, controls, system rules, audit trails, and monitoring capabilities.
- Provide compliance guidance for new products and market initiatives, identifying risks and supporting responsible launches.
- Coordinate compliance testing, audits, examinations, issue remediation, and responses to partner or regulator requests.
- Monitor state and federal regulatory developments and translate them into prioritized business actions.
- Build practical, embedded compliance processes and accountability across the organization.
- Own the BSA/AML training program, including content creation, completion tracking, and third-party reporting.
Requirements
- 5+ years of AML/BSA compliance experience at a fintech, bank, payment processor, money services business, or comparable regulated financial institution.
- Experience managing relationships with banking partners, sponsor banks, or other financial institutions.
- Experience building an AML/BSA compliance program from 0 to 1.
- Working knowledge of transaction monitoring, customer identification and due diligence, enhanced due diligence, sanctions screening, investigations, and UAR/SAR processes.
- Strong understanding of FinCEN regulations, the Bank Secrecy Act, and OFAC sanctions requirements.
- Experience with compliance technology and operational tooling.
- Clear written communication, sound judgment, and ability to translate complex compliance requirements for cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage concurrent deadlines and stakeholders.
- Willingness to work in person at the office 4–5 days per week.

- Familiarity with Sardine or similar compliance systems.
Compensation
- Salary range: $140,000–$190,000.
