Responsibilities
- Build scalable, maintainable, and high-performance backend systems for workforce management products.
- Own architectural decisions and guide the full product lifecycle from ideation through production.
- Design and ship fault-tolerant, highly available, scalable, and extensible systems.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other teams to gather customer feedback and refine the roadmap.
- Mentor senior and junior engineers and promote engineering best practices.
- Help shape team culture, structure, and processes.
- Develop AI tools and in-product AI solutions.
Requirements
- 8+ years of backend development experience.
- Expertise in Python, Django, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
- Experience building systems with clean abstractions and event-driven architecture.
- Strong computer science fundamentals, algorithms, and system design knowledge.
- Experience with asynchronous patterns, caching strategies, and database sharding.
- Ability to develop scalable and extensible core services used across multiple products.
- Product-focused mindset and commitment to intuitive, polished user experiences.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, unstructured environment and provide technical coaching.
Nice to Have
- Experience with React or JavaScript.
