Responsibilities
- Own product development from ideation and design through implementation and release.
- Collaborate with Design, Product, Data, and other teams to instrument and deploy experiments and ship impactful features.
- Define and lead technical initiatives that support growth at scale and address technical debt across teams and the organization.
- Provide mentorship to engineers across the organization.
- Share development best practices through knowledge sharing and documentation.
- Partner with product and engineering management on quarterly and annual planning.
- Ensure service quality, reliability, and scalability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10+ years of software development experience and 3+ years in a project leadership role.
- Deep backend development expertise, such as Ruby or Node.js, with working proficiency in JavaScript and React for API development and integrations.
- Experience building scalable systems with automated testing, observability, and high performance.
- Strong ownership from feature design through production release.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong communication and project management skills.
- Commitment to mentoring engineers.

Compensation and Benefits
- San Francisco, CA: $224,000–$264,000 USD on-target earnings or base salary.
- Denver, CO: $190,000–$223,000 USD on-target earnings or base salary.
