The Opportunity
Flexport is building the future of global fulfillment. As Sr. Manager, Strategic Initiatives, you'll architect tomorrow’s fulfillment network: designing processes, building products, and creating standards that define operations at scale. You'll work across operations, product, and technology to identify gaps, design solutions, and implement them.
What You’ll Do
Architect the Future of Fulfillment
- Design, standardize, and codify processes, products, and tools for Flexport’s next generation fulfillment network.
- Define operating models that scale globally, balancing efficiency, cost, speed, and customer experience.
Build, Not Just Manage
- Own initiatives end-to-end: diagnosing problems, designing solutions, building prototypes, and driving implementation.
- Develop tooling, dashboards, and models using SQL, Python, BI platforms, and workflow automation.
Leverage Data for Strategic Planning
- Use data to uncover bottlenecks, quantify opportunities, and drive cost savings.
- Build forecasting and scenario planning models for network design and capacity planning.
Be a Cross-Functional Force Multiplier
- Partner with engineering, product, operations, finance, and commercial teams.
- Translate operational pain points into product requirements and ensure adoption.
Standardize the Network
- Establish SOPs, reporting cadences, and KPIs.
- Drive governance and accountability across sites.
Drive Strategic Initiatives at Scale
- Lead projects like automation, robotics, compliance, and international expansion.
- Develop and execute multi-year roadmaps with senior leadership.
You Should Have
- 7–10+ years of experience in fulfillment, logistics, supply chain, or operations strategy.
- Technical skills: SQL (expert), Excel/Google Sheets (advanced), BI tools (Looker, Tableau, PowerBI), preferably Python or R.
- Proven record of designing and implementing scalable processes/products.
- Strong strategic thinking connecting execution to P&L and vision.
- Entrepreneurial mindset thriving in ambiguity.
- Executive-level communication to influence stakeholders.
- Bonus: Experience with robotics, warehouse automation, or fulfillment products.
