Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of four engineers in Madrid through mentorship, regular 1:1s, and clear performance feedback.
  • Foster a strong culture of ownership and quality.
  • Guide the evolution of Code Coverage into an AI-powered system using production data and large language models to identify coverage gaps and improve test effectiveness.
  • Partner with product management and customers to define and evolve the roadmap, align stakeholders, and translate strategy into clear priorities.
  • Contribute to architecture and design decisions while remaining hands-on.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation.

Requirements

  • Experience leading an engineering team as a tech lead or manager.
  • Track record of developing engineers at different levels.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, prioritization, and communication skills.
  • Ability to operate in ambiguity, form clear value hypotheses, and iterate quickly.
  • Hands-on experience with Java or Go.
  • Experience with large-scale distributed systems.
  • Willingness to stay close to the code and participate in an on-call rotation.
  • Strong product sense and ability to collaborate with product managers, customers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong interest in AI, agentic engineering, large language models, and autonomous systems.
