Senior Product Manager, Model APIs & Developer Experience

Owns product direction and execution for model APIs, developer experience, voice integrations, ecosystem compatibility, and batch inference. The role requires strong API and developer-tool experience, technical product judgment, hands-on prototyping, and effective collaboration with engineering, research, customers, and partners.

About the job

Responsibilities

  • Set the product direction and roadmap across chat and multimodal APIs, ecosystem compatibility, voice, and batch inference.
  • Close API and behavioral gaps that make it harder for customers to move workloads from proprietary model providers.
  • Understand how APIs perform across the developer and agent ecosystem and turn important gaps into product priorities.
  • Define an intuitive API and consumption experience for real-time and agentic voice applications.
  • Build relationships with voice model partners and align internal and external teams around a strong joint product experience.
  • Reimagine batch inference across the job lifecycle, developer experience, completion guarantees, pricing, and packaging.
  • Build lightweight prototypes and demo applications to test product ideas and reduce uncertainty before committing significant engineering resources.
  • Work closely with engineering and research to understand technical constraints, make product tradeoffs, and deliver reliable customer experiences.
  • Talk with customers and study product usage to distinguish isolated requests from patterns that should shape the platform.
  • Create and communicate an active roadmap, including the rationale for investments and expected outcomes.

Requirements

  • Meaningful experience with APIs and developer tools, through designing, building, or owning them as a product manager.
  • Strong product judgment and the ability to make clear decisions in an evolving market.
  • Willingness to read specifications and code, test integrations directly, and build working prototypes with AI development tools.
  • Track record of earning trust with engineering teams and external partners through preparation, technical judgment, clear communication, and follow-through.
  • Bias toward experimentation and iteration, with the ability to gather evidence, make decisions, ship, and adjust based on results.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, including aligning teams and moving work forward across company boundaries.

Compensation and Benefits

  • US base salary range: $200,000–$280,000, plus equity and benefits.
  • Health insurance and other competitive benefits.
