Senior Competitive Intelligence Manager

Leads PagerDuty’s competitive intelligence program, translating competitor activity and win/loss insights into sales positioning, enablement, and go-to-market strategies. Requires 5+ years of competitive intelligence experience, deep IT and Digital Operations knowledge, and familiarity with SRE, DevOps, and AI tools.

Responsibilities

  • Define, execute, and optimize PagerDuty’s competitive intelligence program through cross-functional and field engagement.
  • Equip sales teams with positioning and messaging through battlecards, bulletins, training, and enablement.
  • Analyze win/loss data, competitor capabilities, claims, and market activity.
  • Monitor competitors and deliver timely intelligence to stakeholders and field teams.
  • Train field teams on current competitive intelligence and winning strategies.
  • Partner with product and product marketing teams on go-to-market messaging and approaches.
  • Lead an external win/loss interview program and report findings to Product, Product Marketing, and Marketing leadership.
  • Use AI and automation tools to improve intelligence and content delivery.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience leading competitive intelligence for a product or product line; B2B SaaS experience strongly preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of IT and Digital Operations.
  • Experience creating field-focused messaging, tools, and differentiation strategies.
  • Ability to frame problems, balance trade-offs, synthesize solutions, and simplify complex information.
  • Ability to plan work, navigate ambiguity, and deliver timely, high-quality content.
  • Strong communication and field enablement abilities.
  • Willingness to use AI tools for automation and improved content delivery.

Nice-to-haves

  • Fluency in SRE and DevOps.
  • Technical aptitude and ability to engage in deeper conversations with engineers.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary: $145,000.00–$220,000.00 USD.
  • May be eligible for bonus, commission, equity, and benefits.
