Responsibilities
- Lead the gathering and documentation of business, functional, and technical requirements for Okta identity platform implementations.
- Work with customers to define technical and functional requirements for specific solutions.
- Support project-plan creation for solution development and implementation.
- Translate requirements into designs and provide technical leadership and oversight as part of a Professional Services delivery team.
- Conduct customer health checks and project reviews.
- Lead discovery workshops, derive customer requirements, and develop functional and system design specifications.
- Establish trusted customer relationships, manage expectations, and communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Travel up to 50%.
Requirements
- 8+ years of overall IT, software development, solution design, and technical architecture experience.
- 3+ years of consulting experience, application architecture design, and IAM architecture experience.
- Experience implementing cloud computing solutions, including AWS, Google Apps, and Salesforce.
- Experience with B2C and B2B customer identity use cases, including registration, multifactor authentication, SSO, delegated administration, and social identities.
- Experience interacting with C-level and senior customer executives.
- Strong knowledge of security architecture, design and operations, LDAP, Active Directory, SAML, SSO, RBAC, OAuth, OIDC, XML, SOAP, JSON, and REST.
- Proficiency in one or more of Java, .NET, JavaScript, Angular, or React.
- Experience integrating on-premises and SaaS products.
- Experience architecting distributed systems, application design, and software development.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
Nice-to-haves
- Okta expertise, experience, or certifications.
- Okta Certified Technical Architect, or a combination of Okta Certified Consultant and Okta Certified Developer certifications.
- TOGAF or CISSP certification.
- Knowledge of software development security and cryptography.
- Experience with API gateways, CASB, and reverse proxies such as NGINX.
- Knowledge of VMware vSphere, EC2, Xen, KVM, or OpenStack.
- Proficiency with open-source software and development tools.
- Proficiency in .NET, Ruby, Java, Python, or Perl.
- Proficiency with Git and Subversion.
Compensation
- San Francisco Bay Area: annual OTE of $224,000–$308,000 USD.
- California (excluding the San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, Illinois, New York, and Washington: annual OTE of $200,000–$275,000 USD.
- Canada: annual OTE of $206,300–$256,300 USD.
- Compensation may include equity, bonus or incentive compensation, and benefits.
