Responsibilities
- Own technical strategy for key Japan public sector customers, defining target architecture and roadmaps for Databricks-based data and AI platforms.
- Lead solution design for government use cases including citizen 360 and eligibility, program analytics, smart infrastructure, cybersecurity, and fraud, waste, and abuse.
- Design secure, compliant architectures addressing data residency, access control, governance, and auditability.
- Turn pilots into production platforms tied to mission outcomes, driving expansion across bureaus, departments, and levels of government.
- Collaborate with systems integrators, cloud providers, and public sector partners to deliver integrated, production-grade Databricks solutions.
- Mentor Solutions Architects and partners on engaging Japan public sector stakeholders and applying Databricks platform patterns.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data platforms, analytics, or cloud architecture, including significant experience with public sector organizations in Japan.
- Experience building trust with senior government stakeholders and leading high-stakes technical discussions in Japanese.
- Strong background in data engineering, data warehousing and analytics, AI/ML, or cloud architecture, focused on solution design and platforms.
- Experience architecting data and analytics solutions for public sector use cases.
- Familiarity with Japan public sector decision-making and delivery models, including the roles of systems integrators and cloud providers.
- Excellent communication skills, translating mission and policy needs into clear technical approaches for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Native-level Japanese and business-level English.
