Responsibilities
- Lead a global organization of directors, managers, team leads, travel consultants, and coordinators.
- Drive a high-performance culture that develops talent and supports career progression.
- Unite Reed & Mackay and Navan teams under a common operating model.
- Own service quality, commercial performance, workforce planning, operational transformation, and the partnership with Product and Engineering.
- Define and implement the target-state operating model for Event Travel, including the people, processes, and systems required for global delivery.
- Structure a global service delivery function using consistent tools and processes while enabling local decision-making.
- Expand the capabilities and adoption of Navan’s event-travel platform while preserving specialist service for complex, high-value, and high-risk travel programs.
- Partner with Flights/Air Product and Engineering teams to build booking tools and capabilities for event travel.
- Measure operational performance and continuously improve service delivery, automation, and profitability.
- Provide candid leadership about operational shortcomings and the cost of addressing them.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience managing distributed travel operations teams across spans and layers.
- Experience owning operating budgets, gross margin or contribution margin, forecasting, pricing, capacity forecasting, cost-to-serve, and productivity.
- Track record of building Product and Operations partnerships that produced measurable improvements in automation, service, and profitability.
- Data-driven approach and discipline in managing operating performance.
- Thorough knowledge of the travel industry, fares, suppliers, and markets.
- Familiarity with air booking tools and fulfillment systems.
- Skilled at leading through organizational and technology change.
Compensation
- Anticipated pay range: $110,000–$160,000 USD.
- Starting pay considers work location, skills and experience, market demands, and internal parity.
- For roles with on-target earnings, the range may include base salary and target incentive compensation.
