Salesforce CPQ Engineer 3

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support Salesforce solutions across product modeling, pricing, quoting, approvals, amendments, and renewals.
• Configure and enhance CPQ capabilities, including product rules, price rules, bundles, product options, quote templates, discounting, and approval workflows.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions using declarative configuration and custom development with Apex, Lightning Web Components, and Flow.
• Partner with Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, Finance, Deal Desk, Product, Deal Strategy, and Sales stakeholders to identify process gaps and deliver business solutions.
• Develop and maintain Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, SOQL, and platform APIs.
• Build and support integrations between Salesforce and external ERP, billing, payment, contract, telemetry, and other enterprise systems across the Lead-to-Cash lifecycle.
• Participate in technical design, story grooming, sprint planning, testing, code reviews, release management, and production deployments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving CPQ configuration, pricing logic, automation, integrations, and system performance.
• Improve calculator speed, user experience, platform reliability, and existing CPQ flows for a global sales force.
• Support documentation, UAT, regression testing, training materials, and user enablement.
• Lead peer code reviews and contribute to shared frameworks, technical playbooks, CI/CD practices, and engineering best practices.
• Ensure solutions align with security, data governance, Salesforce platform, and responsible AI usage practices.
• Use AI-powered engineering tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Agentforce, and GitHub Copilot thoughtfully to improve productivity, analysis, troubleshooting, and documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years of Salesforce development experience with strong hands-on Salesforce platform expertise.
• Strong understanding of Quote-to-Cash processes, sales workflows, and Salesforce best practices.
• Hands-on experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, SOQL, and REST/SOAP APIs.
• Experience with product modeling, pricing rules, quoting workflows, approvals, amendments, and renewals.
• Experience integrating Salesforce with ERP, billing, payment, or other enterprise platforms.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum, CI/CD, version control, and Salesforce release practices.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce security, data governance, and implementation best practices.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Salesforce CPQ Specialist and Salesforce Platform Developer I or II certifications required.

Nice-to-haves

• Working knowledge of Salesforce Billing and its underlying data model.
• Experience with Salesforce DX, Copado, Gearset, Git-based workflows, or similar DevOps tooling.
• Familiarity with Visualforce, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
• Experience preparing training materials, supporting UAT and regression testing, and guiding business users through solution adoption.
• Practical familiarity with AI-powered and agentic tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, and Agentforce.
