Principal Manager, Communications & Developer Influence
Leads Redis’ corporate communications, media relations, executive visibility, influencer programs, and social amplification across the technology and developer ecosystem. Responsibilities
- Develop and execute Redis’ corporate communications strategy to increase awareness, strengthen brand reputation, and support product launches and company growth.
- Build relationships with technology, business, AI, cloud, and developer media; lead proactive media relations and manage inbound opportunities.
- Develop executive thought leadership, speaking opportunities, media interviews, executive visibility programs, and social media strategy.
- Lead communications for corporate milestones, partnerships, customer stories, company research, and industry trends.
- Partner with Developer Marketing and Developer Relations to coordinate technical storytelling, media, creator, and social amplification.
- Build integrated campaigns across earned media, executive social media, influencers, and owned channels.
- Create and manage an influencer program focused on independent engineers, open-source maintainers, technical creators, newsletter writers, and developer communities.
- Own social media amplification across LinkedIn, X, and emerging platforms, including decisions about vendor support.
- Manage PR agency relationships, goals, and performance measurement across media quality, share of voice, executive visibility, and business impact.
- Monitor industry trends, competitive narratives, and emerging issues to position Redis in key market conversations.
- Advise executives and prepare messaging for media interviews, conferences, customer events, and strategic communications.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or integrated communications within B2B technology.
- Experience developing communications strategies for high-growth SaaS, cloud infrastructure, AI, developer tools, or enterprise software companies.
- Proven success securing meaningful earned media coverage and building relationships with business and technology journalists.
- Experience creating executive thought leadership programs, including media interviews, speaking opportunities, and executive social media.
- Strong point of view on implementing agentic solutions to work more effectively and efficiently.
- Strong understanding of traditional media, newsletters, podcasts, influencers, and technical/practitioner creator communities.
- Outstanding writing, editing, and storytelling skills, including the ability to translate complex technical concepts into compelling narratives.
- Ability to influence senior executives and navigate cross-functional organizations with confidence and credibility.
- Experience managing PR agencies and integrated communications programs with measurable business outcomes.
- Experience partnering with Developer Relations or developer advocacy teams.
- Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation and Benefits
- Estimated gross base annual salary: $150,000–$185,000 USD for roles based in New York, California, Washington, Colorado, and Rhode Island.
