The Solutions Engineer partners with Account Executives to discover customer needs, shape technical solutions, deliver tailored demonstrations, and ensure successful post-sale handoffs. Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic sales partner, owning the technical relationship with prospects and customers.
- Partner with Account Executives to uncover technical, operational, and business pain points, validate use cases, and align solutions to measurable customer impact.
- Validate technical feasibility, define success criteria, and guide stakeholders toward alignment on the end-to-end solution.
- Deliver tailored, narrative-driven demonstrations focused on each customer's specific problem.
- Validate standard and semi-complex integrations and alignment with customer environments, workflows, and architectures.
- Shape deal strategy with Account Executives, surface technical risks, and propose clear delivery pathways.
- Create and complete post-sale handoff documentation covering the finalized solution design, expectations, risks, and constraints.
- Provide structured customer and market feedback to the Product team.
- Support customers throughout their trial process.
- Contribute to teamwork, openness, creativity, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Ability to work from the London or Dublin office three days per week, Tuesday through Thursday.
- 5+ years of customer-facing technical experience as a solutions engineer, sales engineer, or equivalent.
- Previous B2B SaaS experience.
- Strong technical problem-solving, communication, storytelling, active listening, and demonstration skills.
- Customer-centric approach with strong discovery and qualification skills.
- Collaborative deal-shaping and stakeholder-alignment skills.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, Windows, macOS, Linux, and cloud application architecture.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with strong project management skills.
- General knowledge of a scripting language and willingness to expand those skills.
- Curiosity and sound judgment when using AI to improve efficiency and impact.
Nice-to-haves
- Python, Ruby, Bash, or JavaScript experience.
- Familiarity with REST API development and service integrations.
- Prior cybersecurity experience.
