Partner Solutions Architect
Own the global technical strategy and product prioritization for ISV partnerships across the combined dbt and Fivetran platform. The role requires 5+ years of customer-facing technical experience, strong SQL and data architecture expertise, and the ability to influence product roadmaps and enable partner teams.
About the job
Responsibilities
- Own prioritization of partner product priorities across the ISV ecosystem, working with product management to translate ecosystem demand into a sequenced roadmap input.
- Maintain a current view of ISV integration state, gaps, and opportunities across ingestion, transformation, Fusion, the semantic layer, catalog and metadata, open table formats, and agent interfaces.
- Own the capability and technical messaging of the combined dbt and Fivetran platform, including reference architectures, integration patterns, and joint value narratives.
- Serve as the primary technical counterpart to ISV partner solution architect teams and partner product leaders, and run the technical cadence with top ISV relationships.
- Support workshops, webinars, hands-on labs, and partner marketing events.
- Equip ISV partner field teams with demo narratives, architectures, and use cases.
- Act as a structured feedback loop from the ISV ecosystem into product and engineering, surfacing integration gaps, friction points, competitive dynamics, and roadmap opportunities.
- Partner with regional Partner Solutions Architects and Partner Development Managers to translate global ISV strategy into regional field execution.
- Build reusable collateral, playbooks, and enablement assets for the partner solutions architecture team.
- Travel approximately 30% for partner planning sessions, technical workshops, executive meetings, and ecosystem events, including international travel.
Requirements
- 5+ years in solutions architecture, sales engineering, partner engineering, technical product management, developer relations, or another customer-facing technical role in data and analytics.
- Direct experience with ISV, technology partner, or product partnership motions.
- Ability to influence a product roadmap without owning it by gathering requirements, building prioritization cases, and gaining product leadership acceptance.
- Strong hands-on background in SQL, data modeling, and modern data platform architecture.
- Fluency across ingestion, transformation, orchestration, warehouses and lakehouses, open table formats, semantic layers, catalogs, BI, and agent/MCP platforms.
- Excellent technical writing.
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills for workshops, webinars, and large partner technical sessions.
- Comfort operating globally and across highly cross-functional internal environments.
- Ability to drive outcomes in ambiguous, fast-moving situations with many stakeholders and no direct authority.
Nice to Have
- Experience at or with a data ISV in BI, catalog, governance, observability, activation, or AI tooling.
- Hands-on experience with dbt and Fivetran.
- Experience with partner-facing APIs, SDKs, or integration certification programs.
- Experience building a partner technical community through office hours, developer advocacy, or champion programs.
- Background in product management or technical product marketing alongside a field engineering career.
- Familiarity with cloud marketplace motions and co-sell programs.
- Experience navigating partnerships where the partner is also a competitor in part of the stack.
- A track record of building credibility with partner engineers, partner product managers, and internal product teams.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay range: $148,180–$177,823 USD.
- On-target earnings: $185,225–$222,278.75 USD.
- 100% employer-paid medical insurance.
