Lead Financial Data Analyst
Leads the transformation of operational data into financial models, automated reporting, forecasts, and executive dashboards. The role requires 7+ years in FP&A or strategic finance, advanced SQL and Python, and experience with modern data and BI platforms.

Responsibilities
- Partner with Data Engineering to design, optimize, and maintain financial data warehouses using Snowflake.
- Define, write, and maintain complex SQL queries and dbt models that transform raw data into clean, audit-ready financial metrics.
- Manage spend forecast and actuals data for department budget owners in Pigment; optimize spending through AI exploration and trend analysis.
- Build automated pipelines to track CAC, LTV, payback periods, and IRR.
- Use Python and AI to improve user cohort performance forecasting and merchant net revenue retention.
- Partner with Product and Go-to-Market teams to model the financial impact of new pricing models, monetization strategies, and international expansions.
- Design and build self-service executive dashboards in Looker and HEX.
- Evaluate high-stakes business cases, including corporate development opportunities and M&A modeling.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in FP&A or Strategic Finance at a high-growth SaaS or technology company.
- Advanced SQL skills, including window functions, common table expressions, and query optimization.
- Experience with Snowflake, AWS, and HEX.
- Experience with dbt for data transformation or basic workflow orchestration with Airflow.
- High proficiency in Python, including Pandas and NumPy, and experience automating financial workflows.
- Expert-level experience creating dynamic reporting layers in Looker, HEX, and Pigment.
- Advanced knowledge of technology unit economics, including LTV, CAC, payback period, and churn, as well as corporate finance fundamentals.
Compensation and Benefits
- Tier 1 base salary: $160,000–$180,000 for New York City.
- Tier 2 base salary: $145,000–$165,000 for Austin, Chicago, and Washington, DC.

Work Arrangement
