Leads customer-facing architectural engagements, proof-of-concept development, and technical demonstrations for Kong’s API and AI connectivity platform. Responsibilities
- Lead technical discussions and presentations with enterprise clients, understanding their architectural requirements and business needs.
- Apply expertise in AI, AIOps, FinOps, orchestration tools, agentic AI, and AI agents.
- Develop and implement proof-of-concept projects and custom demonstrations showcasing Kong's capabilities in system integration and CI/CD environments.
- Provide expert guidance on SRE observability strategies to help customers monitor and optimize API infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues using Linux, Docker, and Git, and provide advanced support.
- Drive adoption of automation technology for efficient API lifecycle management.
- Collaborate with sales, product, and engineering teams, providing market feedback and contributing to product development.
- Mentor junior solutions engineers and contribute to the team's technical knowledge base.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently and deliver results within deadlines.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in solutions engineering, technical architecture, or a similar customer-facing technical role.
- Solid AIOps and/or Kafka experience.
- Expertise in API design and API management principles and best practices.
- Strong understanding of authentication mechanisms, including OAuth, OIDC, and JWT, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Proficiency with Linux and containerization technologies such as Docker.
- Extensive Git experience for version control and collaborative software development.
- Deep knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and tools.
- Proven experience with SRE observability tools and methodologies.
- Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Experience with automation technology and scripting for infrastructure and application deployment.
- Exceptional technical communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated project management and prioritization abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
