Staff Solutions Architect, Banking

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with prospects to determine whether their applications fit Temporal’s platform.
• Educate customers and prospects on the technical benefits and limitations of Temporal’s platform and cloud service.
• Position Temporal as a leading solution against competing technologies and architectural patterns.
• Foster adoption and expansion of Temporal in customer production environments.
• Partner with Account Executives to develop and execute comprehensive account plans.
• Manage and nurture relationships with technical decision-makers, ensuring they fully leverage Temporal’s capabilities.

Requirements

• Reside within Bangalore, India.
• Exceptional technical communication skills, including presenting, whiteboarding, and writing.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems technologies, design principles, and best practices.
• Proficiency building application prototypes and providing design, development, build, and deployment guidance using one or more of Temporal’s supported languages: Java, Golang, TypeScript, Python, C#, or PHP.
• Strong understanding of production operational considerations, including security, reliability, performance, cost management, and operations.
• Ability to advise on architectural topics, including application patterns and platform architectures.
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider and familiarity with commonly used application development and production services.
• Serve as a strategic technical advisor to Sales Account Executives, assisting with opportunity scoping and sizing and providing guidance on technical fit and challenges.

Nice to Haves

• Prior experience with FinTech and/or financial services.
• Willingness to learn new technical topics, often directly from Engineering.
• Ability to come up to speed without sales-specific training.
• Strong partnership skills when working with engineers at customer organizations.

Compensation and Benefits

• Estimated base salary and variable compensation range: ₹8,000,000–₹10,000,000.
• Compensation has a 70/30 base-to-variable split.
