Frontend Engineer
Builds secure, scalable user interfaces for Hive’s data and enterprise products using React and JavaScript. The role requires at least two years of web development experience, strong frontend fundamentals, UX sensibility, and collaborative product development skills.

Responsibilities
- Build secure custom user interfaces using React and JavaScript.
- Participate in product decisions and coordinate with design and product teams to develop user-experience-focused features.
- Architect efficient, scalable, and extensible frontend components and abstractions.
- Analyze and optimize UI application code for efficiency and performance.
- Identify opportunities to improve team efficiency and implement improvements with the team.
- Use OWASP Top 10 techniques to secure code from vulnerabilities.
- Maintain awareness of industry best practices for data maintenance and handling relevant to the role.
- Follow policies, guidelines, and procedures for protecting information assets.
- Report actual or suspected security or policy violations or breaches to an appropriate authority.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience working in web development.
- In-depth knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and related web technologies.
- Strong understanding of React and Redux or similar frameworks.
- Demonstrated design and UX sensibilities.
- Experience working with third-party APIs and libraries.
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and share knowledge with teammates.
- Receptiveness to feedback and commitment to sharpening skills.
- Excellent communication skills and experience in collaborative environments.
- Ability to write understandable, testable code with a focus on maintainability and scalability.
