Web Experience Specialist
Own the creation, quality, experimentation, and continuous improvement of Kong’s marketing web experiences. The role requires 4–6 years of web experience, strong HTML/CSS/JavaScript skills, CMS expertise, and hands-on A/B testing experience.

Responsibilities
- Build, publish, and maintain marketing content in Payload CMS.
- Ensure pages are visually accurate, functional, and aligned with design specifications.
- Maintain quality and consistency across marketing web properties.
- Set up and manage A/B tests in VWO, primarily through the UI.
- Implement test variations using CSS and JavaScript.
- Monitor experiments and collaborate on interpreting results.
- Apply custom HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to resolve layout, styling, and interaction issues.
- Make careful, incremental improvements within an established web codebase.
- Contribute reusable fixes and enhancements to shared components where appropriate.
- Document CMS content and experimentation workflows, standards, and best practices.
- Train and support marketing stakeholders in creating and maintaining content.
- Identify recurring inefficiencies and propose scalable workflow improvements.
- Serve as a quality gatekeeper for marketing web output.
Requirements
- 4–6 years of experience building and managing web pages or digital experiences.
- Experience working with a complex CMS; Payload CMS strongly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with experimentation platforms; VWO preferred.
- Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Comfort working within established codebases and making careful, incremental changes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate ambiguity.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of SEO, accessibility, and performance optimization best practices.
- Experience partnering directly with marketing or growth teams.
- Experience working with distributed teams across time zones.
- Ability to interpret experiment results and web analytics data.
