Senior frontend engineer responsible for building shared SDKs, component libraries, and scalable frontend architecture for Postman’s client platform. The role requires 8+ years of frontend experience and deep expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, performance, and engineering quality.

Responsibilities
- Design and develop modular, well-documented SDKs and component libraries for internal engineering teams and external developers, emphasizing usability, accessibility, performance, and cross-platform compatibility.
- Architect extensible frontend systems with clear boundaries, well-defined interfaces, and appropriate abstraction layers.
- Establish and promote architectural patterns that improve code quality, maintainability, and scalability across the frontend ecosystem.
- Participate in architectural decisions, mentor engineers on frontend best practices, and create engineering standards.
- Partner with product and engineering teams to identify, prioritize, and eliminate technical debt through refactoring and system improvements.
Requirements
- 8+ years of frontend software engineering experience.
- Deep understanding of modern web technologies and best practices, including JavaScript, TypeScript, React, state management, and testing frameworks.
- Experience designing maintainable, scalable frontend architectures for complex applications.
- Experience building reusable component libraries and SDKs.
- Demonstrated record of improving engineering quality through technical solutions and cultural impact.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with cross-platform applications, including Electron or similar technologies.
- Understanding of desktop/web hybrid environments.
- Experience creating widely adopted open-source libraries or SDKs with 1,000+ active developers.
