Product Manager - Federations
The Product Manager will own the Federations roadmap, guiding identity federation capabilities across inbound and outbound protocols. The role requires product management experience, technical fluency in OAuth, OIDC, and SAML, and the ability to collaborate with engineering, customers, and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities
- Own the Federations product roadmap and prioritization, balancing standards leadership, security, customer requests, and platform strategy.
- Collaborate with design and engineering to define, scope, and ship secure, interoperable experiences that meet protocol requirements.
- Engage customers, Solutions Engineering, Support, Standards, and product teams to understand platform needs and translate them into product requirements.
- Use AI tools for specification writing, competitive analysis, and rapid prototyping.
- Coordinate with global engineering, field, technology partnership, and marketing teams to launch and drive adoption of federation experiences.
- Serve as the Federations subject matter expert in customer escalations, executive briefings, enterprise evaluations, and marketing/GTM partnerships.
- Track industry trends and develop differentiated solutions.
Requirements
- 3+ years of product management experience.
- Experience with identity, security, enterprise-scale, platform, or developer products.
- Ability to conduct in-depth technical discussions with engineering teams.
- Working fluency in federation protocols, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and SAML.
- Ability to connect platform decisions to business outcomes and market position.
- Strong customer empathy and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication, from specification-level detail to executive narratives.
- Entrepreneurial ownership and ability to drive ambiguous problems forward.
- Collaborative approach with customers, stakeholders, and cross-functional partners.
Nice to Have
- Experience with API access management, non-human identity, or agentic identity use cases.
- Experience engaging with standards bodies such as the OpenID Foundation or IETF.
Compensation
- San Francisco Bay Area: $159,000–$219,000 USD annual base salary.
- California excluding the San Francisco Bay Area, Colorado, Illinois, New York, and Washington: $142,000–$196,000 USD annual base salary.
- Canada: $124,000–$170,000 CAD annual base salary.
- Additional compensation and benefits may include equity, bonus, health insurance, retirement contributions, flexible spending or healthcare accounts, and paid leave.
