Senior Director, Global People & Talent Operations

Leads global People Operations and HR service delivery across the employee lifecycle, owning systems architecture, Workday partnership, operational integrity, automation, and team development. Requires 10+ years in People Operations or HR Shared Services and substantial experience scaling teams and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end employee lifecycle—including hires, transfers, promotions, terminations, and exits—across a global, multi-entity workforce.
  • Set the vision and architecture for People and Talent systems and technology, including roadmap, integrations, data hygiene, reporting, compliance, and user experience.
  • Lead People Operations service delivery and operational governance to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely transactions.
  • Lead and develop the People Operations team and build capabilities for scale.
  • Own data accuracy, audit readiness, and controls across the employee lifecycle.
  • Design and maintain end-to-end processes, SOPs, RACI documentation, training, knowledge bases, resources, and self-service infrastructure.
  • Partner with People Technology through Workday HCM go-live and beyond, translating operational needs into system and service-model decisions.
  • Identify and implement AI, agentic workflows, and automation opportunities across People Operations.
  • Partner with Total Rewards, Employee Success, HRBPs, Talent, Legal, Payroll, Finance, People Analytics, IT, compliance, accounting, and safety.
  • Define and manage KPIs such as case resolution time, transaction accuracy, SLA performance, and employee and manager satisfaction.
  • Manage the People Operations and infrastructure budget.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in People Operations or HR Shared Services.
  • 7+ years leading teams through accelerated scaling and change.
  • Proven experience designing, implementing, and iterating HR workflows, processes, policies, and systems for growing employee and contractor populations.
  • Experience architecting cross-functional processes and implementing changes affecting policies, workflows, responsibilities, and system interactions.
  • Experience operating shared-services processes and infrastructure at scale.
  • Direct experience with Workday HCM/HRIS, including operational and system design.
  • Experience supporting global, multi-entity workforces with varied labor models and compliance requirements.
  • Track record of building service-delivery models from the ground up.
  • Ability to build trust, drive stakeholder alignment, prioritize decisively, and operate effectively in a fast-scaling environment.
  • Strong budget-management experience related to People Operations and infrastructure.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with ADP, Ashby, or Lattice.

  • Compensation: $235,000–$270,000 annually, plus bonus.
