Responsibilities
- Advise Sales leadership and cross-functional stakeholders on structuring and executing complex, non-standard, and high-value deals.
- Evaluate and resolve non-standard deal requests across Sales, Finance, and Legal.
- Review and approve quote terms for accuracy and alignment with pricing, revenue recognition, and operational guidelines.
- Ensure transactions comply with internal revenue recognition policies and operational guidelines.
- Develop and roll out best practices and playbooks to improve sales efficiency and shorten cycle times.
- Automate and streamline deal desk workflows using AI and automation tools, including AI-assisted contract review, quote generation, and deal analytics.
- Lead deal reviews and early checkpoints, enforce standard business practices, and address systemic process gaps.
- Partner with Finance and Sales Operations on forecasting, deal analytics, and continuous process improvement.
- Present deal strategy recommendations and insights to senior stakeholders.
Requirements
- Business degree.
- 5–7+ years of experience in Deal Desk, Finance, Pricing, or Sales Operations; software industry experience preferred.
- Experience independently leading cross-functional deal structuring across Sales, Finance, and Legal.
- Strong financial and analytical skills, including advanced modeling.
- Ability to translate complex deal terms into clear business recommendations.
- Contract management and negotiation experience strongly preferred.
- Experience influencing senior stakeholders and driving process improvement.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including leadership presentations.
- Ability to manage multiple competing deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Strong collaboration and mentoring skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Salesforce.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with CPQ or deal desk systems.
- Experience using or implementing generative AI, workflow automation, or CPQ automation tools to improve deal desk efficiency and accuracy.
