Product Manager, Zero Trust Authentication

Leads execution and roadmap strategy for Okta’s zero trust authentication products, including Okta Verify, FastPass, and Device Assurance. The role requires technical product management experience, enterprise platform expertise, and the ability to influence secure, performant endpoint designs.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineering, design, and research teams to define and document user stories and technical use cases for core endpoint features.
  • Define and execute the product roadmap, prioritizing technical debt, security hardening, and core platform enhancements alongside customer feature requests.
  • Engage customers to identify friction and technical pain points and use feedback to inform roadmap prioritization.
  • Define and communicate clear technical requirements for endpoint applications, enabling unambiguous platform-level implementation.
  • Track industry trends in client operating systems, security compliance standards, and platform authenticators.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for the product area and enable core product, marketing, and technology partnerships teams.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of technical product management experience in enterprise-scale SaaS products, identity and access management, endpoint security, or comparable experience.
  • Experience building or managing features for enterprise platform ecosystems and services.
  • Experience developing, socializing, and driving strategies across multiple parts of an organization, with a track record of owning and delivering large strategic projects.
  • Strong presentation, verbal, written communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, including the ability to create action plans from incomplete, conflicting, or ambiguous inputs.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or an equivalent technical field.
  • Ability to influence low-level technical design decisions and partner directly with software architects to build secure, performant software.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with identity and access management protocols and products.
  • Experience creating requirements for security-focused customers.
  • Public speaking experience.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Annual salary range for candidates located in Canada: CAD 124,000–CAD 171,000.
