Product Manager, Platform Experience & Developer Product

Own the strategy, roadmap, and launch of Cohere’s managed North offering for mid-market customers. The role requires 5+ years of product management experience, B2B SaaS ownership, infrastructure product expertise, and strong cross-functional execution.

About the job

Responsibilities

  • Drive the roadmap and strategy for managed North, balancing near-term customer needs with long-term platform investment.
  • Lead the strategy and execution for launching a self-serve version of North for mid-market companies.
  • Shape the strategic vision for bringing enterprise-grade AI to this segment and build cross-functional influence to execute it.
  • Partner with go-to-market teams to test assumptions, validate market needs, drive adoption, and establish a new revenue stream.
  • Influence North’s deployment framework to eliminate infrastructure barriers while supporting data residency, compliance, and operational confidence.
  • Engage directly with customers and developers to understand integration challenges, validate priorities, and identify unmet needs.
  • Define success metrics for platform health and developer experience, instrument appropriately, and lead initiatives to improve them.
  • Partner with engineering, research, technical writing, and developer relations to ship and document platform improvements.
  • Own the full product lifecycle from problem definition and scoping through launch, iteration, deprecation, or migration.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience, including meaningful experience owning a B2B SaaS product.
  • Experience treating infrastructure as a product and translating system capabilities into differentiated customer-facing features.
  • Experience taking new products to market in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Experience with multi-tenant and dedicated infrastructure deployment models.
  • Strong analytical skills, including defining success metrics, thoughtful instrumentation, and data-informed decision-making.
  • Strong collaboration skills across engineering, design, infrastructure, and go-to-market teams.
  • Ability to communicate technical tradeoffs clearly to varied stakeholders.
  • Highly execution-oriented, with a bias toward shipping and iterating quickly.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Exposure to data residency, data sovereignty, or regional compliance requirements for AI or cloud infrastructure products.
  • Experience owning a model-serving or inference platform.
  • Familiarity with the AI developer ecosystem and open standards.
  • Familiarity with LangChain, LlamaIndex, and vLLM.
  • Awareness of interoperability standards and their effect on developer adoption and integration patterns.

  • Annual compensation range: CAD 160,000–325,000.
  • Competitive compensation and equity options.
  • Health and dental benefits, including a separate mental health budget.
  • RRSP matching, 401(k), and pension scheme options.
  • Parental leave top-up for up to 6 months.
  • Annual enrichment benefits for arts and culture, fitness and wellness, quality time, and workspace improvements.
  • Education and learning stipend for conferences, courses, and coaching.
  • Six weeks of paid vacation.
  • Travel budget for visiting other offices and an annual company offsite.
