Responsibilities
- Define the architectural and technical direction of Storable’s consumer-facing products.
- Align technology solutions with long-term product, security, and enterprise visions and roadmaps.
- Lead cross-product discussions and drive alignment on technology strategy.
- Drive innovation in engineering principles and practices, identifying improvements and leading their adoption.
- Evaluate technical issues and initiatives, recommend solutions aligned with architectural direction, and guide implementation.
- Translate business objectives into problem statements and system requirements with product and engineering leads.
- Bring clarity to roadmaps in collaboration with Consumer Group Product and Engineering Managers.
- Define organization-wide software engineering and architecture practices.
- Mentor and collaborate across engineering and product teams.
Requirements
- 10+ years of hands-on coding experience with consumer web development technologies and architectures.
- Proven ability to align large organizations on long-term technical visions and lead senior engineering teams through multi-quarter initiatives.
- Experience with highly scalable enterprise service architectures, including monitoring, analytics, and reliability engineering.
- Strong understanding of cloud technologies and DevOps practices.
- Extensive experience designing and developing React and Node.js applications across multiple development teams.
- Experience with microservice and asynchronous event-based architectures.
- Experience designing and maintaining globally distributed, large-scale systems.
- Experience with server-side technologies and performance optimization, including caching, asynchronous processing, and parallelization.
- Deep understanding of REST API design principles and practices.
- Experience with cloud configuration and deployment technologies.
- Experience with Agile software development practices.
