Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Architects, QA, Product, Documentation, and UX teams to design and implement features for workforce and customer authentication experiences.
- Manage the lifecycle of major features from ideation through delivery, emphasizing alignment, accurate estimation, quality, and security.
- Propose and align on technical strategy.
- Contribute to technical designs, proposals, and architectural decisions.
- Develop high-quality, maintainable software components with comprehensive unit and functional tests.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and security best practices.
- Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers.
Requirements
- Extensive experience delivering medium- to large-scale projects in a technical capacity, including estimation, planning, oversight, and delivery.
- Strong hands-on experience designing and developing enterprise software with Java and Spring Boot.
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming, design patterns, server-side technologies, and distributed systems concepts such as caching, asynchronous processing, and multithreading.
- Skilled in debugging and troubleshooting complex Java codebases.
- Commitment to clean, maintainable, scalable, and secure code.
- Experience with AWS, cloud infrastructure, and databases.
- Experience with Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including collaboration with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of software development experience, including at least 5 years designing and building enterprise-grade Java software at scale.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous experience as a Tech Lead.
- Understanding of IAM protocols including FIDO, WebAuthn, SSO, SAML, and OAuth.
- Understanding of multi-factor authentication and phishing resistance.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and secure coding practices.
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks and basic UI development.
- Experience building teams from the ground up.
