Senior backend-focused software engineer responsible for designing and operating scalable microservices infrastructure, cloud resources, and infrastructure-as-code systems. The role requires distributed-systems experience, production ownership, technical leadership, and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities
- Own the 6–12 month roadmap for shared microservices infrastructure, breaking complex goals into incremental phases.
- Translate business and customer needs into robust technical solutions focused on cost, scalability, reliability, and sustainability.
- Design and operate foundational systems, including multi-region architecture, cloud resources, and infrastructure-as-code workflows.
- Build Terraform automation for repeatable cloud provisioning.
- Drive end-to-end execution for platform components, including architecture and production ownership.
- Improve scalability, observability, cost efficiency, and engineering processes across teams.
- Participate in technical design, incident triage, and on-call rotations; identify root causes and communicate risks and mitigations.
- Partner with product and infrastructure teams to resolve platform friction and promote repeatable engineering practices.
- Lead design reviews, improve code quality, and mentor engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experienced backend-focused software engineering background.
- Experience with distributed systems.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with highly agile and iterative development processes.
- Experience mentoring engineers.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
