Responsibilities
- Lead technical sales cycles for large, complex enterprise customers as a trusted technical advisor and strategic pre-sales partner.
- Partner with Account Executives to uncover customer challenges involving risk mitigation, cost reduction, and operational efficiency.
- Conduct discovery, translate technical concepts into business value, and present to CISOs, IT security leaders, identity engineers, enterprise architects, PAM administrators, and application owners.
- Articulate Okta’s differentiators, including its highly available architecture, regulatory compliance, pre-built integrations, and end-to-end identity platform.
- Guide customers in discovering unmanaged AI agents, evaluating risk, and establishing centralized control for human and non-human identities.
- Lead technical evaluations, overcome objections, and drive enterprise deals to technical closure.
- Build consultative customer relationships and serve as a subject matter expert in identity security, modern identity standards, and Zero Trust Architecture.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in a customer-facing pre-sales role such as Sales Engineer, Solutions Consultant, or Pre-Sales Engineer.
- Proven quota attainment and experience securing technical wins with large, complex enterprise accounts.
- Strong executive communication, presentation, storytelling, consultative selling, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience running value-based sales motions and influencing decision-makers around revenue, cost, and risk.
- Strong technical foundation and ability to learn enterprise technologies and architectures quickly.
- Broad knowledge of Identity Security, including Identity Governance, Privileged Access Management, Threat Protection, modern authentication protocols, and Zero Trust Architecture.
Nice-to-Haves
- Hands-on experience positioning and selling Identity Governance and Administration, Privileged Access Management, and identity security automation workflows to large enterprises.
- Experience with or strong understanding of artificial intelligence tools, AI agents, LLM integrations, and security implications of non-human identities.
Compensation & Benefits
- Annual on-target earnings range: $204,000–$281,000 CAD.
