Partner Ownership & Relationship Management
- Serving as the primary business owner and “go-to” contact for a portfolio of strategic distribution partners, including performance, partner communications, issue resolution, and ongoing engagement
- Defining and executing on the long-term partner relationship strategy, including knowing which partnerships or opportunities to grow, optimize, or deprioritize
- Leading recurring partner conversations, business reviews, and strategic check-ins to assess performance, align on goals, and identify areas for improvement
Performance Management & Growth
- Monitoring partner performance metrics, engagement levels, and program outcomes to identify trends, diagnose issues, and recommend actions to improve results
- Identifying opportunities to expand existing partnerships, improve commercial outcomes, and create additional value for partners and Zocdoc
- Partnering with internal teams and external stakeholders to optimize partnership performance and unlock incremental growth
New Business Development & Inbound Evaluation
- Owning distribution partnership opportunities from end to end, including identifying, structuring, negotiating, amending, closing, managing, and growing strategic deals
- Evaluating inbound partnership opportunities, leading introductory conversations, and determining whether opportunities should be advanced, routed to another owner, or deprioritized
- Communicating the value propositions and key areas of alignment between strategic partners and Zocdoc
Cross-Functional Execution & Strategic Support
- Collaborating with product, partner engineering, marketing, operations, legal, finance, analytics, sales, and Zocdoc leadership to deliver scalable and beneficial partnerships
- Partnering closely with Business Operations to identify process improvement opportunities, align on operational priorities, and drive the execution of scalable solutions that enhance account performance and business outcomes
- Ensuring timely and successful delivery of partner-related commitments through strong cross-functional coordination and follow-through
- Building compelling partner narratives, pitch materials, business cases, and internal recommendations to move opportunities forward
- Keeping abreast of developments and trends across healthcare, consumer behavior, marketing, distribution, and partnership models
- Representing Zocdoc at industry events and in response to partner opportunities
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, partner management, strategic account management, or a related commercial role
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with senior leaders and executives, both internally and externally
- Experience managing performance-oriented partnerships, distribution partnerships, marketing partnerships, channel partnerships, or other commercially measurable partner relationships
- Strong commercial and analytical instincts, with the ability to interpret performance data, identify trends, and translate insights into action
- Proven ability to grow existing partner relationships by identifying optimization opportunities, improving performance, and expanding commercial impact
- Experience owning partnerships or commercial deals from initial conversation through negotiation, execution, launch, and ongoing management; sales experience a plus
- Superb communication skills, with a strong ability to keep stakeholders aligned across multiple mediums
- The ability to work independently and as an individual contributor with minimal oversight
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and experience working with teams such as product, marketing, operations, finance, legal, analytics, sales, and leadership
- Comfort operating in ambiguity, managing multiple workstreams at once, and bringing structure to complex opportunities
- The ability to integrate generative AI tools into daily workflows to automate tasks, foster innovation, and maximize productivity
