Manager, Procurement

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic sourcing and contract negotiations for software, cloud, infrastructure, consulting, and other technology suppliers.
  • Develop category and sourcing strategies supporting the Chief Technology Officer, Chief Information Security Officer, and Chief Information Officer organizations.
  • Manage relationships and performance programs for critical suppliers, including hyperscaler and cloud partners.
  • Conduct business reviews with suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Perform spend analysis and market intelligence research, monitoring market trends and supply chain risks.
  • Develop category-specific KPIs and performance metrics, and present reports to senior leadership.
  • Forecast demand and manage spend against category budgets with stakeholders and Finance Business Partners.
  • Partner with executives and cross-functional teams to evaluate options and guide procurement decisions.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Security, Information Technology, and other teams throughout the procurement lifecycle.
  • Identify savings opportunities while balancing cost, risk, service quality, and business needs.
  • Improve procurement and procure-to-pay processes, including reducing cycle times.
  • Explore practical applications of artificial intelligence in procurement, analysis, and negotiation preparation.

Requirements

  • Experience in strategic sourcing, vendor management, and complex contract negotiation.
  • Experience procuring software as a service, cloud infrastructure, or other technical products and services.
  • Working knowledge of cloud hosting, infrastructure services, and commercial technology-contract terms.
  • Understanding of procure-to-pay processes, systems, and procurement operations.
  • 5–7 years of procurement experience, including at least 3 years in category management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical capabilities.
  • Advanced project management skills.
  • Proven track record of delivering measurable cost savings.
  • Ability to build trusted partnerships with executives and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Clear communication skills and judgment to explain complex commercial topics to different audiences.
  • Collaborative, self-directed approach.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Zip or a similar procure-to-pay system.
  • Experience in a software or technology business.
