Operations Manager, AV Deployment

Responsibilities

Execution & Site Management

• Lead daily execution of critical operational systems and processes for 24/7 autonomous vehicle fleet management, including depot layout, vehicle flow, charging, cleaning, maintenance, staging, diagnostics, parts management, and data handling.
• Manage equipment, technology, consumables, staffing, and other operational resources to maximize uptime and readiness.
• Use required technologies and tools to execute operational procedures within the depot.

Operational Excellence & Management

• Serve as the primary operational leader for the AV depot, driving performance, hands-on problem-solving, and compliance with operational and safety protocols.
• Monitor KPIs such as vehicle uptime, turnaround time, maintenance efficiency, and cost per vehicle; address bottlenecks quickly.
• Execute and refine SOPs, SLAs, and safety protocols for AV fleet management.
• Maintain a strong floor presence and support the team during peak periods and complex troubleshooting events.

Stakeholder, Partner & Team Collaboration

• Manage AV operators and technicians, including scheduling, performance management, training, and development of a positive, safety-first culture.
• Partner with AV technology providers on operational needs and joint fleet health and performance initiatives.
• Oversee daily interactions with vendors and external partners supporting equipment, services, and facilities.
• Enforce operational guidelines in accordance with local, state, and federal autonomous vehicle, commercial fleet management, and workplace safety regulations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive experience in site management, general management, or operational leadership.
• Strong understanding of complex fleet management, logistics, or autonomous vehicle operations.
• Experience managing established operational sites, executing playbooks, improving daily efficiency, and managing physical infrastructure.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to support 24/7 depot operations.
• Exceptional people management skills, including shift scheduling, performance management, and building a strong safety and operational culture.
• Highly analytical and practical mindset with the ability to use daily performance data to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Demonstrated leadership in fast-paced operational environments, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or equivalent practical experience.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base pay range for the Nashville area: $108,240–$135,300.
