Procurement Manager

Responsibilities

  • Own purchasing across software and IT, marketing and events, travel, employee onboarding, professional services, and other company-wide categories.
  • Manage vendor relationships, sourcing, negotiations, contract management, renewals, and the full vendor lifecycle.
  • Guide stakeholders through purchasing decisions, align teams on sourcing strategy, and maintain disciplined purchasing processes.
  • Drive savings and improved commercial terms by consolidating redundant tools, reclaiming unused licenses, and comparing market options.
  • Track contract details, renewals, spend visibility, and vendor portfolio information accurately.
  • Coordinate vendor security and data privacy reviews, including SOC 2 and DPAs, with Security and Legal.
  • Partner with Legal and Security on indemnification, liability caps, insurance, and other contract risk terms.
  • Build procurement processes from the ground up, including intake and purchase-order workflows, contract and renewal tracking, spend visibility, and lightweight procurement tooling.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, vendor management, or commercial negotiations.
  • Experience in-house at a high-growth technology or software company preferred.
  • Proven ability to independently own vendor negotiations, contract management, and renewal tracking across multiple functions and spend categories.
  • Experience with software/SaaS, marketing and events, travel, and professional services procurement.
  • Track record of competitively evaluating vendors and negotiating favorable pricing and terms.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders, push back when needed, and partner cross-functionally.
  • Experience building procurement processes from the ground up in partnership with Finance and Legal.
  • Experience coordinating vendor security and data privacy reviews, including SOC 2 and DPAs.
  • Excellent executive-level written communication, presentation, and relationship-management skills.
