Senior Executive Business Partner, CEO's Office

This role partners directly with the CEO to translate strategy into coordinated execution, manage the CEO’s office, and support executive, board, investor, and cross-functional operations. It requires 8+ years of executive support experience and 4+ years leading business operations or executive support programs.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Executive Support

  • Partner directly with the CEO to advance strategic initiatives, assess risks, and align priorities with Drata’s mission and growth objectives.
  • Anticipate leadership needs and proactively remove barriers to enable fast, informed decisions.
  • Prioritize critical issues and surface information that guides executive action.
  • Prepare data-backed briefings, presentations, and materials for executive, internal, and investor meetings.
  • Facilitate communication between the CEO, executive team, and external stakeholders.

Operational Leadership & Business Continuity

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the CEO’s office.
  • Act as the CEO’s trusted proxy during key periods or transitions.
  • Partner with Finance and Legal on the CEO’s office budget, approvals, and resource allocation, using automation where helpful.
  • Support leadership offsites, company all-hands, and other high-visibility events.

Organizational Performance & Strategic Execution

  • Design and implement work plans supporting company-wide goals.
  • Support the creation, tracking, and analysis of company OKRs and KPIs.
  • Monitor departmental milestones and recommend course corrections.
  • Lead or support special projects, including M&A, reorganizations, and cross-functional automation initiatives.
  • Support headcount planning, organizational design, and onboarding programs.
  • Own the agenda for executive staff meetings and track pre-work completion.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Collaboration

  • Connect teams and translate executive priorities into coordinated action.
  • Structure leadership meetings, offsites, and planning sessions around shared outcomes.
  • Meet with cross-functional leaders to maintain alignment on the CEO’s goals and OKRs.
  • Maintain an active pulse on organizational performance and provide actionable insights to the CEO.

Data, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Oversee performance reporting and data insights supporting executive decision-making.
  • Use Slack Workflows, Zapier, and other automation platforms to streamline operations.
  • Champion continuous improvement and change management.

Communication & Stakeholder Management

  • Draft and coordinate internal and external communications on behalf of the CEO.
  • Ghostwrite executive communications and craft strategic messaging in the CEO’s voice.
  • Serve as a liaison for investors, board members, customers, and press or analysts as needed.
  • Identify and escalate communication gaps quickly.

Executive Office Management & Travel

  • Manage the CEO’s calendar, balancing meeting priorities, travel, and high-impact events.
  • Submit the CEO’s expenses promptly and track related spending.
  • Travel as needed for board meetings, investor events, and leadership offsites, including travel to Drata’s San Francisco headquarters.

Requirements

  • High emotional intelligence, resilience, sound judgment, and a sense of humor.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to earn trust quickly with executives, board members, and investors.
  • 8+ years of executive support experience in a SaaS or high-growth startup environment, including direct support for a CEO or other C-level executive.
  • 4+ years of leadership experience managing business operations or executive support programs across multiple functions and time zones.
  • Experience supporting board and investor relations with discretion and professionalism.
  • Expertise building and scaling operational frameworks, including OKRs, organizational planning, and SOPs.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives, including M&A, reorganizations, and automation implementations.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including ghostwriting executive communications and crafting strategic messaging.
  • Hands-on experience with Slack, Zapier, Claude, ChatGPT, or Glean.
  • Passion for GRC, cybersecurity, compliance, and Drata’s mission.
