Responsibilities
- Hire, train, grow, and manage a team of Solutions Architects in a high-growth environment.
- Ensure customers achieve significant business value with Databricks.
- Maintain a robust hiring pipeline.
- Build relationships across the business to support customers and the team.
- Partner with Sales leadership to achieve sales and consumption targets and ensure customer success.
- Keep the team current on the technical stack through continuous learning and customer-focused solution development.
- Lead a technical split-focused team, with approximately 70% pre-sales and 30% technical acumen and demonstrations.
- Guide technical qualification, proof-of-concept work, architecture discussions, and product demonstrations.
- Foster effective collaboration among Field Engineering, Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Customer Success.
- Influence and review complex architectures, guiding teams and customers toward scalable solutions.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience building and leading technical pre-sales teams, including hiring, onboarding, and enabling pre- and post-sales professionals.
- 7+ years of experience in the data space with a technical product, such as data warehousing, big data, or machine learning.
- Deep technical understanding of the impact Data and AI can have across industry segments.
- Experience serving as a trusted advisor to technical executives guiding strategic data infrastructure decisions.
- Experience hiring candidates, ramping them to success, and promoting them into larger roles.
- Ability to earn the trust of engineering talent and leadership through strong technical knowledge.
- Demonstrated architectural influence and ability to review complex architectures.
Compensation
- Canada pay range: $178,100–$244,850 CAD.
- Compensation may include an annual performance bonus, equity, and regional benefits.
