Director of Product, Financial Incentives

Lead the Financial Incentives product portfolio at Garner, owning strategy and roadmap for member incentives, payment mechanisms, plan design, and claims platform. Build and mentor a team of PMs while partnering cross-functionally to deliver scalable financial products in healthcare.

About the job

Responsibilities

  • Own the strategy and roadmap for Garner’s Financial Incentives portfolio, spanning the member incentive experience, the suite of payment mechanisms (card, HRA, HSA, direct provider payment), employer-facing plan design and coverage policies, and the underlying claims adjudication, payments, and ledger platform.
  • Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing product management team (4 PMs and growing) and develop the next generation of PM leaders at Garner.
  • Act as Garner’s internal and external-facing executive-level subject matter expert on financial incentives, payment mechanics, and the operational systems that move money reliably at scale.
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Design, Operations, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Clinical, and GTM teams to ship trusted, mission-critical products.
  • Define the metrics that matter and rally the organization around them.
  • Make sharp prioritization decisions across a portfolio with high regulatory complexity, high customer expectations, and significant 0-to-1 product surface area still to build.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of product management experience, including 3+ years managing and developing product managers.
  • Demonstrated experience building and shipping financial products at scale — payments, ledgers, card programs, consumer financial experiences, or other money-movement systems.
  • Deep expertise in at least one of payment infrastructure (rails, settlement, reconciliation, ledger) or consumer financial products (card, rewards, reimbursement, HSA/HRA-like instruments) at scale.
  • Track record of leading both 0-to-1 product development and the scale-up of production systems, comfortable building net-new platforms and improving systems already moving real money.
  • Strong technical fluency—can credibly engage engineering on system design, data models, APIs, and reliability tradeoffs.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, with the ability to drive alignment with executives, internal teams, and external partners.
  • A desire to be a part of a high-performing, mission-driven team that operates with intense urgency, a strong sense of individual accountability, and a commitment to authentic feedback.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Target base salary range: $296,000 - $379,000.
  • Eligible to participate in equity incentive and competitive benefits plans, including flexible PTO, Medical/Dental/Vision plan options, 401(k), Teladoc Health and more.
