Responsibilities
- Hire, develop, and retain a high-performing product management team.
- Lead the full product lifecycle from vision and strategy through launch and iteration.
- Deliver customer and business outcomes by working cross-functionally to achieve product-market fit.
- Align teams around product vision, market opportunities, and customer needs.
- Set multi-team priorities and focus areas.
- Define and monitor product metrics that measure meaningful progress beyond revenue growth.
- Foster rapid learning cycles and evidence-based product development.
- Build a healthy product ecosystem involving developers, partners, customers, and online communities.
- Represent the product with customers, partners, press, analysts, and at industry events when appropriate.
- Establish team OKRs, assess talent, improve hiring processes, and adjust goals and roadmaps to maximize engineering investment.
Requirements
- Many years of hands-on product management experience across multiple product stages, including scaling products or product portfolios.
- Experience leading product teams and delivering products in fast-growth, resource-constrained environments.
- Demonstrated ability to develop product vision, strategy, priorities, and measurable outcomes.
- Strong customer and user engagement skills, with experience validating product needs before engineering work begins.
- Ability to influence through communication and collaboration rather than authority.
- Excellent written communication and information-sharing skills in a remote, globally distributed organization.
- Growth mindset and experience learning new customers, markets, and business models quickly.
- Experience with developer tools, SaaS, cloud services, open-source, or freemium business models is preferred.
- Experience engaging and enabling large developer communities is a plus.
- Prior coding experience or demonstrated success serving technical users is a plus.
- Docker does not offer visa sponsorship for this role.
Compensation
- Canada: CA$316,400–CA$452,000 plus equity.
- United States: $228,000–$326,000 plus equity.
- Full-time employees are eligible for equity and benefits that vary by country.
