Responsibilities
- Serve as NexHealth’s first engineer based in Canada, setting the technical and cultural tone for a growing Canadian team.
- Hire and develop world-class engineers and build a high-performing team.
- Support engineers’ career growth through mentorship, feedback, and leadership development.
- Maintain high technical standards through architecture reviews, testing, and strong engineering practices.
- Partner with engineering and product leadership to define and execute long-term platform roadmaps.
- Coordinate execution and collaborate across teams on cross-cutting, high-impact initiatives.
Requirements
- 6+ years leading high-performing engineering teams.
- 8+ years of total software engineering industry experience.
- Exceptional people leadership and experience coaching engineers.
- Deep experience delivering large-scale foundational infrastructure.
- Strong judgment balancing engineering velocity with long-term technical quality.
- Excellent collaboration skills across Product, Sales, and Customer Success.
- Experience defining and driving technical and organizational roadmaps.
- Builder mindset with experience scaling teams and systems in fast-paced environments.
- Strong ownership, initiative, bias for action, and data-driven decision-making.
- First-principles thinking applied to technical and organizational challenges.
- Commitment to people development and team health.

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $218,000–$263,000 CAD.
